Scrapbooking Tools and Supplies
Before you create your first scrapbook page you will need to gather a few scrapbooking tools and supplies. Scrapbooking tools would include things like scissors, glue, paper cutters, hole punches and the like while your scrapbooking supplies would be things like card stock, paper, stickers, ribbons, frames, etc. |
Must Have Scrapbooking Tools
There are three basic tools I believe every scrapbookers should not be with out: a small, sharp pair of scissors, a 12" paper cutter with ruler, and an adhesive runner or glue stick.
You might also consider buying a small tool kit. These are great when you are just getting started and contain many of the tools you will be reaching for in the future. I like the Making Memories - Tool Kit II. It contains adhesive, scissors, a craft knife, tweezers, small craft hammer, paper piercer, eyelet and snap setting tips, small work mat, 6" ruler, and emory board. |

Supplies For Your First Scrapbook Page
For each scrapbook page your create you will most likely need a background paper (I like to use card stock), an accent paper, a photo frame or mat, a page title or journaling block and an embellishment. Here is where your personality will start to shine through. There are so many wonderful designs to choose from. When trying to decide which papers and embellishment to use for your page, I like to start with my photo. Look for colors and themes that go with the story you are trying to share.
