Creating a
digital scrapbook page is so much fun, but
before you can get started you will need a
digital scrapbooking kit to work with.
Step 1 - Choosing your kit
With so
many great digital scrapbooking kits out there
to choose from it can see a bit overwhelming.
Don't stress. Most kits are very affordable or
even free and remember you can reuse your kits
as many times as you like. Here is a link to our
Free Mini Kits.
Step 2, a - Downloading a free
kit.
Once you've
found a free kit you like simply click the image
or download link ( this will vary depending on
the site) to start your download. A new
window will now pop up. Choose Save and click.
Step 2, b - Purchasing your kit.
If you
choose to purchase a kit you will want to start
by adding it to your cart. You can then continue
shopping or check out. This will again vary
slightly by site. Many site will offer discount
codes. I you make a purchase at our
Digital Shopping Center, just enter the code
GettingStarted to save 20% off our already low
sale prices. In our shopping cart you will need
to click the Update Cart button after entering
your code. Then just click on the Paypal button,
follow the directions and enter in you
information. Don't worry you don't need a
Paypal account to make a purchase. They will
simply process your credit card info.
Once your
payment has been processed you will be redirect
to a download page and your will also receive a
conformation email containing your download
info. In most cases you will need to download
your kits within 72 hrs of your purchase. To do
this just click the links.
Step 3 - Unzipping your kit.
When your
download has completed you may need to un-zip
the file. To do this double click on the icon
and
choose the Extract All or Extract To option. You
can now choose the location to save your new
kit. I would recommend creating a Digital
Scrapbooking folder within your My Documents
folder.
If you
don't have an un-zipping program installed on
your computer you can go to
WinZip
to download one.
Step 4 - Opening your kits.
To use your
new kit you will first need to open up your
photoediting software. Go to Edit mode. Then go
to the File dropdown menu and choose Open. Then
navigate to the location where you saved your
kit and select the papers/embellishments you
want to use.
